Training, Enduring, Seeing Results
Life is long.
I’ve said this a couple of times over the past year and many of you have responded by reposting this statement on social media. (I think that’s cute!)
When I say this to my kids they roll their eyes.
Life is long enough for you to endure and become masterful of who you are…
…Long enough for you to get to the other side of what you’re wrestling with and for you to see that it’s going to turn out okay.
…Long enough for you to get through your frustration, anger, grief….
…Long enough for you to make your life line up with your purpose so that you’re more satisfied and you’re experiencing richer meaning in your life.
But if you quit or if you forget how long life is, you might not get to experience the results of the transformation you’re in the middle of.
I am currently training to ride my bike up Haleakala, a 10,023 foot climb. I was intending to do this ride for my 55th birthday this year but Covid hit and I got sick.
After being sick for more than two months, I basically had to start training from the beginning again.
Some days I want to quit.
Every morning before I ride, my brain tries to get me to quit. (I think the reason I train so early in the morning is that it’s too early for my rationalizing mind to coherently explain to my body why I SHOULDN’T be doing this…)
But, every morning, I clip into my bike and I train.
Because I know that life is long enough for me to be able to condition my body to do this.
…Because life is long enough to heal and get strong again.
It’s easy to forget when you’re climbing a mountain that if you just keep pedaling or taking one step in front of the other, you will eventually get to the top.
And then you’ll climb down, follow the path and find a new mountain to climb.
Because it’s the climb itself and the experience of pride and mastery at the top that is the root of why you are climbing.
The fact that you are on the mountain taking one step at a time – or even pausing to catch your breath for a moment – means that you are winning.
You. Are. On. The. Mountain.
The next year promises to bring many challenges and adventures.
2021 is a new “mountain”.
One that we must climb if we’re going to influence the evolution of the planet and create a world of equitable, sustainable peace.
There might be times when we want to quit climbing, when we forget who we are, why we are climbing and how to take the next step up…
But if we stay connected to our Authentic Selves, our true identities and we hold a vision of the view from the top, we’re going to be resilient.
If you’ve ever wondered what exactly you can do to help the world evolve, please read on…
Are you worried about the future? You want to have hope, you know you “trust” Source, God or the Universe…and you do…kind of…but you still stress about the bills, your work and your family…The Future?
Do you sense that things are shifting and changing in a big way on the planet and you wonder what’s next? Super Storms? Big political shifts? Economic collapse? Earthquakes? Environmental changes?
Do you wonder what you can DO?
You don’t have to be worried or afraid.
The future that we face is as bright as we can imagine, but to create it, we have to know how to bend and flow with the changes.
How to take the next right step that builds a foundation for something better – something more aligned with the Heart of Humanity.
We can argue over the reasons and sources of chaos in the world. Weather patterns, the economy, the education system, even our food source and supplies are changing and creating challenges.
The bottom line is WE ARE SHIFTING.
And before we can collaborate, engage in expansive possibility thinking and creating something new, we have to align.
We are global change agents who are seeking to transform the world.(That’s your “job title” – your “elevator pitch”…)
But before you can do your “job” you have to be deeply anchored in who you are so that you can navigate the world and not lose your connection to yourself and forget who you are.
And why you came here.
Want some extra support to help you get on the “mountain” and stay on the “mountain”?
Join me for my 2021 Quantum Leadership Activation program. It’s on sale for only $97 until Saturday at midnight.
When you register, you are also donating a full scholarship to a select group of students.
Research shows that when you share you actually increase your Heart coherence and increase your state of well-being. (In 2020 we gave away over $150,000 worth of scholarships for Professional Students and general classes. I’m particularly proud of this accomplishment!)
Here’s to you, your strength, your courage and your ability to keep getting back on the mountain and climbing!
Here’s to a new year of building the foundation for Peace.
Have a Happy New Year!
From my Heart to Yours,
