Want to be a Better Parent? QAS Show

Do you want to be a better Parent?

So why is this important?

If you look at the data today, something is off…

It might shock you to know that a study released in 2017 by AAP News & Journals shows that the number of children and adolescents admitted to children’s hospitals for thoughts of suicide or self harm more than doubled during the last decade.

Approximately 1 in every 5 children in America meet the criteria for mental disorder.

And here’s something that really highlights that something is off in the way we’re parenting today:

31.9% of children under the age of 18, are diagnosed with anxiety disorder.
Now keep in mind that all of this is happening as modern-day parents are spending more and more time with our children. If you compare the amount of time fathers today spend with their kids, versus fathers in the 70’s, its gone up dramatically.

Yet we are seeing that kids are not necessarily better off. Therefore, we can conclude that it’s not so much the time we’re spending with our children, but what we are doing with this time.

We’re not born amazing parents. Kristin Shorter, Human Design Specialist and Parent Coach helps you to discover how to be the parent your child needs so they can fulfill their full potential.
