The Creative Process – Sun transits Gate 40 moving to Gate 64
I hope this week finds you remembering that not all surprises and “plot twists” are “bad”. Sometimes life brings you the sweetest surprises in the tiniest of packages. And those tiny packages can sometimes deliver a giant wallop of goodness in your life.
It is easy in the energy and environment of what is going on in the world today to lose heart – to literally lose your connection to Heart. Feminine leadership is rooted in the Heart and comes from the Heart. When we lose our connection to our Hearts, we also lose the power to lead our own lives and live in an empowered state. (This is a big part of what we’ll be talking about at the International Human Design Conference. www.humandesignstore.com)
Being human presents an interesting challenge. Our personal Will, located in the Will Center in Human Design, is part of the Heart Chakra.
The second Human Design Center associated with the Heart Chakra is the G-Center (sometimes referred to as the Identity Center).
When we look at the mechanics of the Heart, what we see is the Will Center contains the potential for personal will and the G-Center is the center for Divine Will.
These two aspects of yourself are connected via a channel that serves as a “bridge” between these two Centers, the Channel 25/51.
This channel is sometimes known as the Channel of the Priestess or the Channel of the Shaman. In the journey of the initiation of the Priestess or the Shaman, there is a metaphorical death and a rebirth of some kind. These initiation rites can be somewhat literal or even metaphorical and can serve as a “shock” to the system that causes us to “wake up” to our unique role in the Cosmic Plan and initiate our service to Divine Will.
It is in this channel that we learn to surrender to our bigger role in the cosmic plan, our “higher Self”.
What the chart shows us through this channel is that if we get too far off the path of Heart, Spirit will “shock” us back to Life – give us to opportunity to align our Hearts with the Cosmic Plan and Truth.
If our emotions, which calibrate our heart coherence, are our most creative energy and contain the greatest potential for changing the world, then when we are faced with shocking, hatred-inspired tragedies, the first, most important thing to do is to recalibrate yourself back with the creative force of Love. (Please note that I said the FIRST thing to do…obviously you also have to do the “work” of this world.)
Getting back into the Heart of Who You Truly Are and fully activating the power of Love means that you align yourself with the tasks that are held in the G-Center (Divine Will). The G-Center demands that we speak the following phrases with the highest intention:
Or, to keep it simple:
I challenge you today, in the face of the wave of hatred and divisiveness we seem to be surfing, to focus on activating these energies in your Heart. Take a few minutes to write out each statement and make a list. What do you Love? What do you choose? Who are you? Who do you need to forgive? What do you serve? How can you increase your vitality? Where can you align with and allow greater support? What do you have to share with the world?
The answers to these questions will open your Heart and put you in powerful creative harmony with Divine Will and the Cosmic Plan, giving you the power to change the world and make it a better place.
From this state of flow, the cosmos will give you your “marching orders” and your powerful agenda for taking right action on the planet – action that is aligned with Love.
I love you all and I’m grateful to share this planet with you.
The Human Design year is broken up into four quarters, each with its own overarching creative task that is necessary to master in order to fulfill the intentions of each calendar year.
Each creative quarter of the Human Design year has cycles that repeat thematically. Because every year is a measured creative cycle and each creative quarter represents aspects necessary to the annual creative cycle, we can extrapolate that the creative process itself has predictable components that are vital to maximizing our creative ability.
The steps of the creative process can be summarized by the 7 steps below:
- Be intentional – Have a personal narrative about who you are – the “I” who is creating your own reality – that matches who you truly want to be and express in the world.
- Stay in Alignment – Make sure you clear any old beliefs, meanings and karmic entanglements that are keeping you from being the full expression of who you want to be and from fulfilling what you want.
- Have Faith – Cultivate the energy of positive expectation that what you are intending is happening even if you can’t see the evidence of it yet.
- Be Patient – Master your ability to trust in Divine Timing.
- Be Curious – Use the lens of your positive expectation to explore all of the messages in the manifestations of your life.
- Be Responsive – Follow the clues, your Authority, your Human Design Strategy, and all the signs and signals that the Universe is sending you.
- Expansion – If you like what shows up, ask for more of it.If you don’t like it, ask for what you need to heal, release, align or what you need to be aware of in order for you to create what you really want.
The Sun this week is in the Gate 40, the Gate of Restoration, moving to the Gate 64, the Gate of Divine Transference on Thursday. The Earth starts the week in the Gate 37, the Gate of Harmony moving the to Gate 63, the Gate of Curiosity on Thursday.
We also have a full moon on September 1 in the Gate 37, the Gate of Harmony and FIVE planets (Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto) in retrograde making us feel like we’re a little trapped in cosmic goo.
There is waiting and preparation in the creative process. The Sun in the Gate 40 is part of the Channel 37-40, the Channel of Administration. The Earth energy in the Gate 37, the Gate of Harmony, completes this channel for us until Thursday, teaching us to master the ability to make sustainable agreements that create the peaceful administration of resources and energy. This is also the energy stream that attunes the Heart and influences what we attract into our lives.
We are grounded in peace. This week the steps necessary to create inner peace are vital to being able to later on engage in collaboration and community which can lead to growing sustainable peace in the world.
At the root of peace we need to embody being “enough” for ourselves first in order to create enough and to be available for each other. Without this “enough-ness” we can’t create enough and we struggle to manifest. It’s hard to create “enough” when you’re holding the frequency of “lack”.
In our more personal relationships, this forces us to have good, healthy conversations about who does what in the partnership and what needs to be done to sustain each other. There is giving and receiving in this interchange.
There is a big “red flag on the play” here if one VITAL component is out of wack in the partnership. If one partner – or both – are experiencing burnout and struggling, we have a tendency to project onto our partners that they will save us. We turn to our partner to make the money, do those things we’re too tired to do, follow through for us when we can’t and even take care of us while we recalibrate our energy.
Oftentimes we forget to communicate our needs to our partner, expecting them to simply “psychically” divine what we need and want to restore our energy. We fail to use language and communicate and can be heartbroken and disappointed when our partner doesn’t to figure out what we need.
There can be fantasy in this channel. If we “think” we’re being clear about where we are with our energy, what we need and what our agreements are in our partnership but we’re not talking about them (out loud) with our partner, then the fantasy can create tension and unrest in the partnership.
The Earth this week invites us to stabilize ourselves and to not project onto our partner that they are responsible for our state of peace, peace of mind or rescuing us. When we are grounded in our own harmonious state, then we can ask for what we need and want.
In other words, use language to ask for what you want and need. It’s a lot more clear than just hoping and moping.
The Gate 40, teaches us that to be a part of a community or a partnership and to have enough of ourselves to share our wisdom, resources or energy, we have to first be fully restored, replenished, restocked, re-Sourced ourselves. We can’t give form an empty cup.
We need time alone to reconnect to who we are and our own “enough-ness” in order to be able to administer more to others. This is the bedrock of healthy relating and strong communities. In the creative steps, this is essential to steps 3 and 4, Faith and Patience.
On Thursday we move to the Sun in Gate 64, the Gate of Divine Transference and the Earth in the Gate 63, the Gate of Curiosity. We emerge from our restorative pause and we begin to see our reality as a Divine Treasure Hunt. We are looking for the cues and clues that are set in front of us to guide us to the next right step on our creative journey.
We are asking questions and exploring the edges of possibility. We are wondering what else is possible and using the power of our minds to entertain creative options that will lead to the expansion of what’s possible for our lives.
The key to working with these energies is to remember that you don’t have to figure out the answer to the questions you’re asking! You are on a Divine Treasure Hunt. The power of your mind lies in its ability to imagine other options and possibilities – not in figuring things out!
Let the Universe handle the details.
The Full Moon this week invites us to release anything that is disrupting our inner peace.
With five planets in retrograde, expect delays and a feeling like you can’t quite catch the momentum you’re wanting. It’s okay. This is still part of a bigger cosmic “pause” cycle and, if I might gently add, a nice time for you to replenish your energy as best as you can. The rest of the year promises to be kind of bumpy and you need to enter autumn with your energy supplies socked in and your faith in high gear. (Don’t say I didn’t warn you…)
Have a great week!
From my Heart to Yours,
