Sun transits Gate 3 – Innovation moving to Gate 27 Accountability.
This week brings us the final push to cultivate habits that create the potential for change and innovation in our lives.
Innovation is an interesting topic. We define innovation as a new method, idea or device that leads to the introduction of something “new” in our lives. We’ve been playing with the theme of “new” for a few weeks now. We’ve been clearing the clutter of our lives and exploring whether our habits support us in creating the rich soil within which to grow our dream and contemplating how we might need to make changes to give us more fertile ground to grow in.
There is a difference between making strong, sustainable change versus toppling the infrastructure and starting from scratch. This is the difference between a rebellion versus a revolution. Real change – enduring, sustainable change – takes time and a deliberate movement towards the vision of what we seek to create.
That means that to make good, solid change that truly innovates and expands upon the potential for our lives, we need to be patient. We need to tend to the “garden” of our lives, plant in rich soil, pluck the weeds, water the plants and give them ample light and warmth.
This translates to making sure that our mindset supports our growth, that we are resilient and gentle with ourselves if we have a “bad” day or a “bad” cycle, that we continue to nourish our creative spark with faith and the power of our imagination to hold the vision of what we truly want for ourselves.
This week we see the nodes shift form the South Node being in the Gate 5, the Gate of Consistency and the North Node in the Gate 35, the Gate of Experience to the South Node being in the Gate 9, the Gate of Convergence and the North Node being in the Gate 16, the Gate of Zest.
The Nodes are also supporting us in exploring what habits and experiences we had that can help us breakthrough the “clutter” of unfinished business. We are exploring whether our habits and patterns keep us from pushing through to completion. Are you avoiding doing what you need to do because you may have an underling fear of success or failure that is keeping you from taking the risk and actually following through with what you know you need to do to move forward with your dreams?
(Just a quick review. The Nodes set the theme or the “plot outline” for our personal and collective narrative. The South Node represents what we need to understand and learn from in order to move into the theme of the North Node.
With the South Node being in the Gate 5, we’ve been exploring our habits and asking ourselves if our habits are truly creating the experiences we desire. Do our lives reflect the values we’ve been realigning and the integrity that we’ve been cultivating over the past few months? This exploration is inviting is to drill down to the foundation of the rhythm of our daily lives and to explore whether our habits and practices are helping us build what we want in our lives.
The North Node in the Gate 35 has been asking us to explore whether we can be more fulfilled, create beyond our old, outdated patterns and habits and cultivate new experiences that better match our intentions when we shift our habits and patterns to support creating something new and expanding our potential for new experiences.)
The nodal shift this week will take us into September, giving us a renewed sense of enthusiasm nd zest for life when we refine our focus and attention.
The South Node in the Gate 9, the Gate of Convergence, encourages us to explore the theme of focus in our lives. Are we focused on what we want to be creating? Are there things in our environment or in our relationships that distract us from our focus? What can we do to improve our focus?
The North Node in the Gate 16, the Gate of Zest, informs us that when we focus and narrow our attention, we regain our enthusiasm for life and for our creative process. We allow our zest for our creative process to override any fears of inadequacy that we may be holding on to. We are ready to “take the risk” of jumping in, trusting that we’ll know what we need to know when we need to know it.
The Sun this week brings us the energy of the Gate 3, the Gate of Innovation, moving to the Gate 27, the Gate of Accountability on Thursday.
The energy of the Sun in the Gate 3, encourages us to innovate, to enhance our ability to embrace and integrate new ideas and new ways of doing things. To do this, we must learn to stay in appreciation for our unique way of thinking and being and to trust that, as an innovator on the leading edge of consciousness, our time to transmit what we’re here to bring forth will come, so we wait and cultivate our ideas with patience.
And we stay in gratitude. You can’t innovate without gratitude.
When the Sun shifts into the Gate 27, the Gate of Accountability, we begin to cultivate the energy to do the “work” of implementing our innovation in a compassionate and caring way. This energy is marked by the shifts in the Nodes setting the stage for this Nodal Cycle to focus on how we can best fulfill our obligations to each other and to ourselves and be fully accountable for taking the necessary actions to maintain and sustain our focus.
We are learning to care without over-caring, to allow others to assume responsibility for their own challenges and choices, to learn to accept other people’s values and to not let guilt cause us to compromise what is good and right for us.
The shadow of this energy is reminding us to not let co-dependency and guilt cause us to lose our own focus on what we need and want to create for our own lives. In the high expression, our focus and enthusiasm supports us in being better able to nurture others and to create innovations that enhance people’s ability to create more for themselves in an empowered and sustainable way.
On a deeper level, this energy is inspiring us to innovate the ways in which we implement what is valuable and our values. We are continuing to explore the ways in which we feed and educate people. We are innovating and expanding on how we can create more well-being and more possibilities for each other and for the world.
The Earth this week highlights the Gate 50, the Gate of Nurturing, moving the to Gate 28, the Gate of Adventure and Challenge.
We are grounded in mastering our ability to transcend guilt and unhealthy obligation and do what we need to do to take care of ourselves first in order to better serve others. It is vital, when we play with this energy, to check in and make sure we’re not holding to rigid principles that cause us to judge others and that we’re checking our own privilege and perspectives first, before we share in a tone-deaf way.
When the Earth moves to the Gate 28 on Thursday, we shift our focus to “testing” our new ideas. The Gate 28, sometimes referred to as the Gate of Struggle, is an essential part of the innovation process. Innovations, new ideas and potentials have to be wrestled with on the front end to ensure that they are valid, true and enduring. All innovation and evolution, has struggle built into it, not because we’re doing it “wrong”, but because the exploration and experimentation of a new idea is essential to fine-tune what works and what doesn’t.
We are struggling because we’re learning. If we can maintain an open mind and heart and trust that we have to push up against new ideas to test them out, we’ll discover what’s truly valuable and how we can best implement our innovations.
We are like young seedlings, pushing upwards through the soil, reaching towards the Light. There is a certain amount of “pushing” involved in the process that will “weed out” the ideas that aren’t strong or enduring enough.
Our focus and resolve will keep us moving forward with momentum, even when it might seem hard.
Self-care and nurturing are essential to keep our energy high and our spirits zestful and optimistic.
Take good care of yourselves!!
From my Heart to Yours,
